Real World Assets

Real-World Assets (RWAs) refer to tangible or intangible assets that exist in the physical world and can be represented on-chain through tokenisation. These include real estate, commodities, intellectual property, art, collectibles, machinery, vehicles, and various forms of receivables or cash-flow contracts.

Tokenisation of RWAs involves creating digital representations of these assets on a blockchain, it enables:

  • Fractional ownership

  • Improved liquidity

  • Programmable distribution of value.

Each token represents a claim or fractional right to the underlying asset, its cash flows, or both.

RWAs matter because they bring real-world value to blockchain. By putting assets on-chain, we create transparent access to assets that were previously locked away—giving investors access to investments they couldn't reach before, and giving asset owners new ways to unlock value from their assets.
